Politcal Frequencies

Ron (the Sublibrarian) has performed a freakin' fascinating word frequency list on George Bush's recent Iraq War speech. Check it out here, and see just how insidious this administration's "Us vs. Them" paradigm is.

Peter, I saw you in Poets & Writers this morning!

Felicitations! [fancy French way of saying 'Congrats!']

Peter's famous. I'll sell you a map to his house for $15.00.

Rebecca, what kind of map is it:

-Hand-drawn with broken crayon?
-Blue-print snagged from a trash heap?
-Imaginary?

Yes! And also glitter and lots and lots of glue and some stickers. Scented stickers.

Wow, that was quick! The scented stickers pushed me over the edge.

How about we trade--an exquisite corpse penned by me and my buddy Lilius for your hand-made Peter Pereira House Map.

Deal?

Nope.
Money talks, babe. I got poems up the you-know-what.

That is fascinating, and frightening.

Patty: which? the Bush speech word list, or the map to my house? Both? hehehe

Rebecca: you can get more than $15 ! (grin)

Okay. I'll hold out for $20, then buy a bottle of tequila, and we can have drinks on your deck. xxoo
