Lala Land

This is a fascinating story. You will never think of right brain, left brain, and ideas of self & world, in the same way again:

Neuroanatomist Jill Bolte Taylor had an opportunity few brain scientists would wish for: One morning, she realized she was having a massive stroke. As it happened -- as she felt her brain functions slip away one by one, speech, movement, understanding -- she studied and remembered every moment. This is a powerful story about how our brains define us and connect us to the world and to one another.

Oh, I think that's the woman who spoke on our campus several months ago. It sounded really interesting, but I had something else going on that night and couldn't make it.

The brain is an amazing thing!
