This story made me smile:
Boy Wins Use of Tropical Island in Lottery
TAIPEI (March 4) - A 4-year-old boy has won the use of an uninhabited tropical island, with white sand beaches and clear turquoise waters, in a Taiwan lottery aimed at boosting spending during an economic downturn.
Officials said Yeh Chien-wei, who won the prize at Thursday's draw, will get exclusive rights to the tiny plot in the Taiwan Strait from May through September.
Penghu County, an offshore archipelago, will provide food, drinks, water and electricity to the boy. He has been quoted in local media saying he wants to play in the sea.
It's a poem or a short story waiting to happen.

Treasure Island, indeed.
I love that the story states "will provide food, drinks, water and electricity to the boy." Does this mean that he has to go alone? Or that his parents won't be fed, etc? When are you writing the poem?!
P and PT: it's a curious little story isn't it?
Not sure I'll get a poem from it, but you never know! (It sort of fits with the "Expedition of the Vaccine" series)
