God, that brings back memories. My favorite one, when I was little, was the one about "Puff is on TV!" -- everyone went running around yelling "Look! Look! Puff is on TV! Come and see!" and at the end it turned out that the kitten was just sitting on top of the TV set. I loved that surprise ending.
Anne: I loved Puff. My first memory of reading in school is sitting in rows in little chairs, before a young nun in black and white habit, one by one reading the line "Oh, Puff!" I think she had spilled her saucer of milk or something.
Have you seen Yiddish with Dick and Jane? Or the magnet on my fridge, which features one of the original illustrations: Jane is holding Connie's hand as Dick stands there looking indignant. Caption? Jane knows Connie. She doesn't care to know Dick.

Em: Yes, I have seen it, but don't really understand it (the Yiddish). Love the magnet caption.
